Early in the season Ken Roczen had the points lead. Cooper Webb slowly closed in on Roczen with consistent podiums to take the lead. Roczen answered back, trying to tip the scale in other direction.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2291\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/SaltLakeCityFinal_WebbWin-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/> <img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2292\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/SaltLakeCityFinal_WebbChampionship-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\r\n\r\nGoing into Saturday night\u2019s event, both riders had an opportunity to take the championship. When the gate dropped, Marvin Musquin rocketed out front to grab the holeshot. Ken Roczen wasted no time taking the lead in the rhythm section. Webb wasn\u2019t having any of it, making a huge move past Roczen for the lead. Webb had one thing on his mind all night. Win the Championship. Webb only needed to finish 19<sup>th<\/sup> or better to win the championship, but he wanted the lead, the race win and the championship. Chase Sexton also inserted himself into the mix, taking the lead halfway through the race. It would be a close battle all the way to end with Webb securing the race win and locking up his second career 450SX championship. Jett Lawrence pulled off a first-place finish with Colt Nichols and Hunter Lawrence filling the other two spots on the podium.
