An icon in off-road racing in the 1980’s and 1990’s has passed away. Dave Ashley was part of the Ford Rough Riders and has won many SCORE International off-road championships.
Ashley was inducted into the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2014. Ashley worked to make vehicles safer as well as working on the Ford Raptor SVT race truck. He was a test driver for the Safety Airbag Rollover Sensor team. Ashley also worked with Roush Racing as the manager of the Ford Off-Road track safety program.
Dave Ashley passed away on September 14th 2021.
