Roczen was out front early in first moto but it wasn’t enough to hold off Eli Tomac. In the second moto, Cairoli scored another holeshot, but just like earlier in the day, it was short lived as Roczen immediately moved to the front. Chase Sexton was able to get past later in the moto. Sexton crashed on the final lap and Roczen regained the lead taking the moto win and as well as the overall for the weekend.

The 250 class saw Levi Kitchen out front winning wire to wire. In the second moto, it was all about the Lawrence brothers. Hunter grabbed the holeshot. Behind him, Justin Cooper and Jett Lawrence were battling. Jett finally made a pass for second. Hunter however remained unchallenged by his brother and won wire to wire.

450 Class Championship Standings (Round 3 of 12)

Chase Sexton, La Moille, Ill., Honda - 134

Ken Roczen, Germany, Honda - 129

Eli Tomac, Cortez, Colo., Yamaha - 120

Jason Anderson, Edgewood, N.M., Kawasaki - 111

Christian Craig, El Cajon, Calif., Yamaha - 92

Antonio Cairoli, Italy, KTM - 89

Ryan Dungey, Belle Plaine, Minn., KTM - 89

Justin Barcia, Monroe, N.Y., GASGAS - 74

Aaron Plessinger, Hamilton, Ohio, KTM - 72

Shane McElrath, Canton, N.C., Husqvarna - 65

250 Class Championship Standings (Round 3 of 12)

Jett Lawrence, Australia, Honda - 139

Hunter Lawrence, Australia, Honda - 127

Jo Shimoda, Japan, Kawasaki - 101

Levi Kitchen, Washougal, Wash., Yamaha - 100

Justin Cooper, Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y., Yamaha - 100

Michael Mosiman, Sebastopol, Calif., GASGAS - 81

Seth Hammaker, Bainbridge, Pa., Kawasaki - 77

Stilez Robertson, Bakersfield, Calif., Husqvarna - 74

Max Vohland, Sacramento, Calif., KTM - 63

Pierce Brown, Sandy, Utah, GASGAS - 58

Photos courtesy of Align Media
The high elevations of the Thunder Valley Motocross track just outside of Denver, Colorado proved challenging for the riders, but not Ken Roczen.
