Once they got into the dunes, it was a different story.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-6262\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/DakarRally2023Stage6_LucianoBenavides-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/>\r\n\r\nSkyler Howes moved into overall lead on Stage 5 in the bike class and continues to hold that position. His closest competitor is Toby Price. Howes finished in a consistent 2<sup>nd<\/sup> place during today\u2019s stage with Luciano Benavides taking his first victory.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-6263\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/DakarRally2023Stage6_DeMevius-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/>\r\n\r\nIn the T3 class it was Guillaume De Mevius with the top finish and Austin Jones coming second. De Mevius now has the overall lead in that class. Jones will need some stage victories to get into the overall top spot.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-6264\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/DakarRally2023Stage6_NasserWin-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/>\r\n\r\nIn the car class, Nasser Al-Attiyah continues to lead overall.
