King was known as \u201cMr Maxxis\u201d traveling around the country to short course and desert races with the Maxxis Tire Support rig. According to reports, King was piloting his orange Cassutt race plane known as \u201cLast Lap Player\u201d near the South Valley Regional Airport in West Jordan. Witnesses reported the plane suddenly banked after takeoff and plummeted to the ground. King had raced the plane at airshows around the country and was preparing to attend the upcoming Reno airshow in September.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-7666\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Creighton-King-Plane-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" \/>\r\n\r\nKing was part of a Youtube series called \u201cBehind the Scenes with Creighton King.\u201d \u00a0King did interviews with racers and fans at short course races asking them random questions. The series quickly became a hit.
