For the first time in SCORE history, the course will be run in reverse, starting in La Paz and finishing 1,310.94 miles later in Ensenada. The historic point to point race kicks off Thursday November 16<sup>th<\/sup> with motorcycles leaving the start line at 1am. Trucks and the rest of the four wheeled classes follow at 9am.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-7876\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/SCORE-Baja1k2023Map-819x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"800\" \/>\r\n\r\nThis year\u2019s course will have 30 different speed zones and 308 virtual checkpoints along with three physical checkpoints to keep racers on course. The race starts in La Paz and goes up along the windy road to the north passing along several Spanish missions. At race mile 50 the course goes towards the Pacific Ocean and winds up the coast before turning back inland and eventually hitting the Sea of Cortez. The course continues north from Baja Sur to Baja California and heads once again towards the Pacific Ocean then turning towards San Felipe for several washes racers are used to. It then winds up through Valle De Trinidad hitting the goat trail and continuing towards Ensenada for the finish.\r\n\r\nOfficial pre-running will begin October 21<sup>st<\/sup>.","excerpt":"The course map is now live for the 2023 SCORE Baja 1000.
