Competitors did not have the assistance of the mechanics when they started the stage. The stage for the cars was shortened today due to safety reasons.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-8516\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/2024-Dakar-Rally_Stage-4_Loeb-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/>\r\n\r\nNacho Cornejo moves up to the overall lead after a Stage win in the bike class. Ricky Brabec finished second on the podium with Kevin Benavides in third. Over in the car class, Sebastien Loeb won the stage. Yazeed Al Rajhi holds on to the overall lead with Carlos Sainz in second.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-8515\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/2024-Dakar-Rally_Stage-4_Eryk-Goczal-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/>\r\n\r\nIn the Challenger class, Eryk Goczal won stage four. Mitch Guthrie Jr struggled but was still able to finish in the top ten. Joao Ferreira won in the SSV class.
