Nearly one-hundred volunteers cleaned up 12-tons of trash near the Parker 400 race course over the weekend. Unlimited Off-Road Racing along with Tread Lightly! hosted an inaugural desert clean-up to remove trash and promote sustainable habits along with responsible land use.

“Thanks to Tread Lightly! and all of the volunteers that made the inaugural Parker 400 Desert Clean-Up a success!” said UNLTD Off-Road Racing CEO Matt Martelli. “Whenever we put on a new event, it’s important to us to make a strong first impression with the local community and showcasing our commitment to cleaning up the desert is a huge part of that.

In attendance was Parker 400 Grand Marshal and former Parker mayor Dan Beaver. Unlimited Off-Road racing has also hosted clean-ups in Nevada during the Mint 400. Past clean-ups have netted over 375,000 pounds of trash.
