Aaron Plessinger Secures First 450SX Career Supercross Win in San Diego

There have been three different winners thus far each week in the Supercross series. Aaron Plessinger secured a commanding win at Round 3 in San Diego Saturday night at Snapdragon Stadium. The rider with the cowboy hat wasted no time moving to the lead ahead of Ken Roczen. During the 20-minute moto, Plessinger held off top riders such as Cooper Webb who ended up crashing and Eli Tomac. In the end, Bam Bam Barcia finished second. Plessinger will also get to wear his very first “red plate” going into the next round in Anaheim.

“It was a really good race, I just got a good lead and rode my own race and stayed up front. It seemed like we were lapping a lot of people, so it feels good and I’m ready to do it again next weekend,” said Aaron Plessinger

Over in the 250 class, the race was extremely exciting as Nate Thrasher brought home the win. The top three were extremely close the entire time. Thrasher and Garrett Marchbanks battled for the lead. Last week’s winner Jordon Smith was also in the mix. In the end, it was Thrasher who was victorious.  The series makes a short trip to the north for the second race of the year at Anaheim stadium Saturday night.
