Supercross returned to Anaheim stadium with the first of three triple crown races. The triple crown combines results from three different races to determine an overall winner. Cooper Webb took the overall win with two second place finishes and a fifth-place finish in the final event of the night. Webb becomes the fourth different winner at Supercross this season.
“If you do really well the first two [races], the third one sometimes is easy… I had a lot of wiggle room [in Race #3] and could just, honestly, have a solo ride in fifth place. But it is a little bit weird, for sure, to not go over the checkered flag first. But I think that’s kinda the unique thing about the Triple Crown,” said Webb.
In the Western Regional 250 class, Levi Kitchen also became the fourth rider in the series to bring home a win this season. The series heads to Detroit next weekend with the kickoff of the Eastern Regional 250 series. Those riders have yet to participate in Supercross this season.
