Crandon International Raceway is getting ready to celebrate its 55th anniversary this year. The track has hosted short course off road racing events for the last 55 years and doesn’t plan to quit anytime soon. Each year, Crandon International Raceway sees record crowds.
This Labor Day weekend, the track will host a completely full racing schedule across three days. Gates open Wednesday August 28th. At least 400 competitors are expected throughout the weekend. Crowds typically soar in the 60,000 range as the best racers in the world battle it out for bragging rights and the coveted World Championship Trophy. It is also the season ending points race for the Champ Off Road Racing Series.
Crandon’s event weekend will kick off Friday August 30th at 12pm with its annual downtown parade. Stay tuned to DIrtSportsWorld for full weekend coverage.
