CJ Greaves Wins Fifth Red Bull Cup at Crandon

CJ Greaves had a stellar weekend at Crandon International Raceway. Coming off the high of winning two Champ Off Road season championships on Saturday, Greaves went out during the Pro 4 vs. Pro-2 Cup event, battling through the carnage to bring home his fifth Red Bull Cup win. The Pro 2 vs. Pro 4 race is an all-out knockout fight in the final race of the weekend at Crandon.

Pro-2 roared off the line just ahead of Pro-4 to get the head start on the track. After a full restart, Mickey Thomas led the field. Greaves, driving a Pro-4 only needed half the race to catch Thomas. Unfortunately, a lap later, Thomas would be forced to pull off the track after a fire started in the cab. The pressure was off Greaves by that point as he cruised to another Cup win, celebrating with the signature shot gun and giant Red Bull Cup along with multiple checks. Greaves also scored a custom Boxo toolbox with his name on it.

Other races during the day included large checks and Championship rings. Despite Thomas misfortune in the Cup event, he still one the Pro-2 World Championship event. Lorenzo Bonacci beat Dave Mason to win the Pro-Buggy Championship. Loren Healy secured his second win of the weekend in Ultra4 and Johnny Holtger found himself holding down first place in Pro-Lite.
