[{"id":11719,"permalink":"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/2025\/01\/18\/brock-heger-wins-first-dakar-rally\/","title":"Brock Heger Wins First Dakar Rally","content":"Two weeks of grueling dunes and dirt sections at the Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia has earned Brock Heger and co-driver Max Eddy their first win in the SSV class at the Dakar Rally. Heger shot to the lead towards the end of first week at the rally and held on to that spot for the rest of the time. The rally was a total of 12-stages. Heger, driving for Sebastien Loeb Racing beat second place Francisco Lopez Contardo by over two hours. Sanders claimed five stage victories earning KTM their 20<sup>th<\/sup> victory in the history of the rally. \u201cSo we have just won the Dakar Rally! It\u2019s a massive accomplishment from myself and the team after a tough year, and I can\u2019t thank everyone enough for the support. It\u2019s been a long journey, and I can\u2019t wait to celebrate with everyone!
