The break is over and Supercross riders were back on the track for the third triple crown event in Birmingham, Alabama. Sexton won the first two races and placed second in the final race of the night. That score gave him the overall win. Just eight points separate Sexton with points leader Cooper Webb, tightening up the battle with over a month to go the season.

Over in the 250 class, it was a wild ride with Nate Thrasher securing two third place finishes and a second. Despite not having any wins, Thrasher was scored in the overall position after RJ Hampshire lost spots and could only finish fifth in the final race. Hampshire had won the first race of the night and placed second in the next race. A crash in front of him slowed his progress at the end. “I really felt coming into this season that this was going to be my year. Tampa went okay, I ended up crashing on the first lap. But then we just kept fighting every round. I just knew that I’m tough enough to be out there,” said Thrasher.
