Back to Back San Felipe 250 Win for Alan Ampudia

Alan Ampudia came away with another victory at the SCORE San Felipe 250. Local Mexican Trophy Truck racer Ampudia won both last year and this year’s race. Ampudia battled all day with Luke McMillin, who has won past Championships in SCORE and is absolutely no stranger to the sandy San Felipe terrain. Ampudia finished the race in three hours, fifty-five minutes and thirteen seconds. King Shocks gave Ampudia a $10,000 bonus for winning the race and running product on his truck from the shock company. McMillin finished second and veteran desert racer Rob MacCachren finished third.

In the newly formed two-wheel drive Trophy Truck class, Cameron Steele came away with a big victory. The class was formed to allow those racers who still have the legacy 2-wheel drive trophy trucks a chance to be competitive. The evolution of the more expensive and highly technical faster four-wheel drive trucks have priced several out of the coveted Trophy Truck class.

In the Trophy Spec, Jorge Sampietro, another Baja local was victorious. And Brock Heger brought home yet another victory, pretty much going undefeated in anything he drives this year.
