Dominant Duo: Polvoorde and Menzies Capture Baja 1000 Win

In a masterful display of endurance, speed and strategy, Christopher Polvoorde  and Bryce Menzies claimed the overall victory in the 58th running of the SCORE Baja 1000, crossing the finish line in the number 94 Ford Raptor Mason AWD after 15 hours, 48 minutes and 24 seconds of grueling racing.

For Menzies, this triumph marks his 12th career win in the SCORE Trophy Truck class and his second overall Baja 1000 win. He returned strong after health challenges earlier in the season. The win also marks Polvoorde’s first Trophy Truck Baja 10000 victory. The duo started the race on the pole position and never looked back.

“It’s just something I’ve been dreaming of for a long, long time. I’ve never won a SCORE race, so to win a SCORE Baja 1000 as the first one is pretty awesome,” said Polvoorde.

Honda secured another overall win with the Slam Life racing team of Tyler Lynn, Carter Klein, and David Kamo in the motorcycle class. Other notable wins went to Sam Baldi in the 2-wheel drive Trophy Truck class. The win marks Baldi’s first Baja victory, a life-long dream for him. Meantime, Brent Fox brought home the Spec Trophy Truck victory. Brendan Gaughan won in Class 1 and Cayden MacCachren was victorious in the Pro UTV category.
