Australian racing star Jett Lawrence has suffered a significant injury during a pre-season training crash, ending his hopes of contesting the early rounds of the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship.
Lawrence, the reigning AMA Pro Motocross and SuperMotocross champion, was injured on Friday during a training session at the Dog Pound facility in Dade City, Florida, where he fractured his right ankle and foot in a fall. The crash caused breaks to key bones in his lower leg including the talus and navicular and prompted immediate surgery on Saturday to repair the damage.

Honda HRC has confirmed that his recovery will take at least three months, effectively ruling him out of the start of the 2026 Supercross season and extinguishing his bid to reclaim the Monster Energy Supercross title before competition begins.
