Photo: Feld Motorsports[\/caption]\r\n\r\nIn the premier 450SMX Main Event, Eli Tomac once again stamped his authority on the early 2026 season with a gritty victory, his second straight win to open the year. Tomac found himself in a fierce three-way battle with Ken Roczen and Hunter Lawrence. After stalking the leaders in the early laps, Tomac executed a decisive pass with about six minutes to go and held off late pressure from Lawrence to take the checkers by just over a second.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_14875\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"640\"]<img class=\"size-large wp-image-14875\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/2026-Supercross-San-Diego_Deegan-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/> Haiden Deegan secures an early Supercross Season win for the 250 West Red plate. Haiden Deegan, the defending West Coast champion, broke through for his first win of the season, claiming the victory and the Western red plate. Deegan\u2019s win came amid controversy \u2014 he made a bold pass on teammate Max Anstie, who had led much of the race before going down in the battle.
