Hunter Lawrence seized control of the Supercross spotlight during Round 7 in Arlington, Texas. The 450 main event began with Cooper Webb and Ken Roczen racing side-by-side. It wouldn’t be long before Hunter Lawrence was in the mix for the top position battling Roczen. Near the final five minutes of the race, Hunter was able to make a pass to the lead and never looked back despite pressure from Webb and Eli Tomac. At the checkered flag it was Hunter, Tomac and Webb.

Arlington marked the season opener for the 250 east riders. Jo Shimoda was out front with the holeshot. Red lights were immediately displayed slowing Shimoda down. Pierce Brown and Daxton Bennick came through the same section at race speed with no red lights displayed. As a result, Brown was able to pass Shimoda for the lead. Brown continued that lead for the rest of the race securing his first Supercross victory.
