Mickey Thomas etched his name into off-road racing history Sunday by winning the prestigious Forest County Potawatomi Cup at Crandon International Raceway during Round 6 of the 2026 AMSOIL Championship Off-Road season.

Thomas emerged as the lone remaining Pro 4 truck in the 33rd running of the Cup race after early leader CJ Greaves crashed out while challenging for the overall lead. Thomas quickly worked through the Pro 2 field and drove away for the victory, adding one of short-course racing’s most coveted trophies to his résumé.

“I’m just so grateful right now,” Thomas said. “This means so much to us. We got the gremlins figured out and everything is going our way right now.”

Other Sunday winners included Chris Van Den Elzen in Pro Spec, Michael Meister in Pro Buggy, and Jeb Bootle, who scored victories in both Pro SXS and Pro Stock SXS competition. Meister’s fourth consecutive Pro Buggy win moved him into the class points lead as the series heads to ERX Motor Park in Minnesota next month.
