Hill, aboard the Rick Ware Racing Yamaha, put together a strong eight-lap performance to claim the first SX1 race win of the new World Supercross season. Cooper Webb, making his full-season WSX debut with Rick Ware Racing, finished second, while Calgary local Dean Wilson rounded out the top three for Quad Lock Honda.\r\n\r\nThe opening race was not without drama. Defending WSX champion Jason Anderson crashed on the opening lap, forcing him to fight his way back through the field. Webb ultimately claimed the Canadian GP overall after the scheduled Main Event was stopped by severe weather and could not be completed. Wilson finished second overall, with Hill third.
