Shane McElrath has found his new home for the next two seasons, signing a two-year deal with Liqui Moly Beta Factory Racing to compete in the 450SX division. McElrath will campaign the Factory Beta RX 450F alongside Benny Bloss as Beta continues to build its premier-class Supercross program. The 32-year-old North Carolina native is a two-time FIM World Supercross SX2 Champion, winning titles in 2022 and 2024, and has multiple AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross victories on his resume.

The move comes after McElrath’s departure from Quad Lock Honda, where he competed for the past two seasons. He will get an early opportunity to familiarize himself with the Beta, making his team debut at the opening round of the SuperMotocross Playoffs in Columbus, Ohio, on September 12.

“I’m so excited to finally get to announce our partnership with Beta Factory Racing,” McElrath said. “They have given me a great opportunity, and I’m excited to work alongside such a longstanding brand for the next two years and beyond.”

Beta race team director Carlen Gardner said McElrath’s experience, technical knowledge and championship pedigree will be valuable as the team continues developing its 450 program.
