Tomac\u2019s decision brings an end to one of the most accomplished careers in the history of American off-road motorcycle racing. The 34-year-old will have three final opportunities to compete before stepping away from the sport he has competed in professionally since 2010.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nTomac made an immediate impact when he entered the professional ranks, winning his first Pro Motocross race at Hangtown in 2010. Over the next 16 seasons, he established himself as one of the sport\u2019s most consistent and successful riders, collecting eight SMX League championships. His championship r\u00e9sum\u00e9 includes the 2012 250SX West title, the 2013 250 Pro Motocross championship, four 450 Pro Motocross championships from 2017 through 2019 and 2022, and 450 Supercross titles in 2020 and 2022.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nTomac also played a key role in Team USA\u2019s victory at the 2022 Motocross of Nations at RedBud, winning the MXGP\/MX2 combined race and helping the United States secure its first overall MXoN victory in 11 years. \u00a0The 2026 season began in fitting fashion, with Tomac winning the Anaheim opener. He remained a championship contender deep into the season before a qualifying crash in Cleveland resulted in a hip injury that forced him to miss several rounds. He returned for the Pro Motocross finale at Ironman Raceway, finishing the season with a top five overall finish.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nTomac\u2019s final chapter will play out during the three-round SMX postseason.
