Kyle Jergensen delivered a dramatic overall victory in the Unlimited Race across the brutal Nevada desert. The victory marked Jergensen’s first Mint 400 triumph in four years and came after a late-race twist that reshaped the leaderboard. Jergensen completed four laps of the rugged course in 6 hours, 47 minutes, 23.597 seconds, securing the overall win despite competing against trucks with significantly more horsepower.

[caption id="attachment_15201" align="alignnone" width="640"] Kyle Jergensen secured an overall Mint 400 victory in a Spec truck. However, the grueling desert terrain proved unforgiving. Early in the final lap, Householder was forced to stop for a tire change before suffering a suspension failure that ended his race, opening the door for Jergensen to take control. When the dust settled, Jergensen crossed the finish line more than four minutes ahead of second place Brett Sourapas. Ryan Arciero rounded out the podium in third. “Our game plan was to let them make mistakes,” Jergensen said after the race. “We made no mistakes—no flats, no nothing. Wolff then went down with steering issues. Healy blew a transmission. Out of the complete darkness, Randy Slawson emerged out of nowhere to win the King of the Hammers. Slawson is now the only driver to secure four wins and has raced all twenty events. At the finish line, Slawson didn’t have much to say at the finish line and was still in disbelief of his win. Josh Blyler was the only other driver to finish the race with a second place finish before the 10pm deadline.

https://trailertug.com/

https://www.cbr-performance.com/

Brutal rocks, endless whoops, and mechanical carnage defined the 2026 King of the Hammers, where patience proved just as important …

https://dirtsportsworld.com/2026/02/07/underdog-grit-and-relentless-chaos-define-king-of-the-hammers-utv-showdown/
Underdog Grit and Relentless Chaos Define King of the Hammers UTV Showdown

The King of the Hammers UTV race delivered one of the wildest battles the class has ever seen, a day defined by heavy attrition, constant position changes, and an unlikely hero standing tallest at the end. From the drop of the green flag, the pace was brutal and the race turned into survival mode almost immediately. Paul Wolff and Phil Blurton, both pre-race favorites, saw their days end in stunning fashion with major crashes within the first five miles.
