Plessinger suffered a deep laceration and significant bruising to his tailbone after the opening-lap incident in Michigan. While medical evaluations confirmed there are no fractures, the popular Ohio native will miss this weekend's Southwick National in Massachusetts and the following round at Spring Creek in Minnesota to allow the injury to heal.<\/p>\r\n

The injury required stitches immediately after the crash and forced Plessinger out of both motos at RedBud, ending what had been a consistent outdoor campaign.
