Photo: Toby Price Racing[\/caption]\r\n\r\nPrice released his own statement Tuesday saying the following:\r\n\r\nThe past couple of days have been the toughest of my career, which spans over 20 years.\r\n\r\nI have been compliant with all investigations both external to the team and internal to the team.\r\n\r\nI am aware of the decision of Brent Bauman the team navigator to resign and respect him for that course of action which goes a long way towards taking some responsibility for the outcome off the back of the CRB\u2019s decision. There are times in life when circumstances require significant action and this is one of those circumstances.\r\n\r\nThe video that is circulating does not provide evidence of me placing any rocks, the witness statement does not provide evidence of me making any rock placement and the conversations at the site where the video was taken were not with me except for me telling a girl I was ok when asked and that I was clearing a new line.\r\n\r\nThat being said the CRB has made its decision and I am obviously treating this as final and respect the process that they went through to get to it. I have the highest respect for SCORE International and for the people of the Baja Peninsula that provide their cooperation to the event. The safety of everyone competing and spectating in all forms of motorsport should be of paramount consideration.\r\n\r\nThis is obviously not how I expected the San Felipe 250 to go but it is how it ended up. Despite the fact that I believe a higher standard of proof should be used here given the consequences, I am going to fully respect the decision of the CRB and the court of public opinion.\r\n\r\nI will be taking some time off from desert racing and I don\u2019t take this decision lightly given the significant damage. I will reassess the position with the team and whether I will be competing in the series in the near future.\r\n\r\nIn the meantime, I want to thank Paul for the significant investment he and his family have not only put into this team but also into my career. The 15-minute plus one lap main event began with Nate Thrasher<\/span> grabbing the holeshot for Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing<\/span>, leading Seth Hammaker<\/span> of Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki<\/span> and Jo Shimoda<\/span> from Honda HRC Progressive<\/span> into the opening laps. Meanwhile, Davies found himself buried in 15th place off the start. Thrasher initially controlled the race, but disaster struck just a few laps in when he went down in the whoops section, handing the lead over to Hammaker. From there, Hammaker looked poised to take control, with Shimoda keeping him honest in second. Behind them, however, Davies began an astonishing charge. Deegan was deep in the field and Levi Kitchen was alongside Cole Davies for the lead. Deegan continued to move up in the field and eventually would take the lead in the final laps for what everyone thought would be the race win. At the conclusion of the race AMA officials reviewed video of Deegan making an illegal lane shift in the split section of the track. However, the grueling desert terrain proved unforgiving. Early in the final lap, Householder was forced to stop for a tire change before suffering a suspension failure that ended his race, opening the door for Jergensen to take control. When the dust settled, Jergensen crossed the finish line more than four minutes ahead of second place Brett Sourapas. Ryan Arciero rounded out the podium in third. \u201cOur game plan was to let them make mistakes,\u201d Jergensen said after the race. \u201cWe made no mistakes\u2014no flats, no nothing. The truck was perfect and the team was perfect. The win came against a field of more than 240 competitors and further cemented Heger\u2019s status as one of the top SxS drivers in desert racing. Lawrence finished second while Tomac battled forward from a start outside the top ten to claim third. \u00a0Race two delivered more chaos. Tomac briefly looked poised to take the victory after charging to the front, but Justin Cooper reclaimed the lead late and held on for the win. Tomac finished second with Cooper Webb third, while Lawrence lost valuable points after an incident with lapped riders dropped him to fourth. \u00a0Everything came down to the final race. Lawrence rebounded with a clutch performance, charging to the win when it mattered most. Jo Shimoda was out front with the holeshot. Red lights were immediately displayed slowing Shimoda down. Pierce Brown and Daxton Bennick came through the same section at race speed with no red lights displayed. As a result, Brown was able to pass Shimoda for the lead.
