Initially Amber Turner-Slawson was the first vehicle back to Hammertown and for a short time it looked like she would be the first female to secure an overall win. After tracking data was reviewed by the officials, it was determined Turner-Slawson had missed several virtual checkpoints along the course and assessed penalties for each one skipped.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_11972\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"640\"]\"\" Brad Lovell makes a critical pass on Bailey Cole at Chocolate Thunder.[\/caption]\r\n\r\nTurner-Slawson finished third overall and second in her class. Cody Young finished second overall and first in his class competing against Turner-Slawson in the Legends class. Brad Lovell was driving a Bronco in the 4600-stock class. On the second lap, Lovell passed Bailey Cole in the rocks just below Chocolate Thunder and continued his charge towards the checkered flag. \u201cI can\u2019t tell you how thrilled I am to be here in the Ford Bronco at the finish line, it was dusty, it was intense,\u201d Lovell said in a finish line interview after the race. Also finishing in the legends class was Cameron Steele who took third in class and fourth overall.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_11973\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"640\"]\"\" Cody Young brought home the victory in the EMC 4800 Legends Class.[\/caption]\r\n\r\nDan Wyrick, driving a Toyota took the class victory in the 4500 Modified class. The course wound its way through some of the creek beds and up waterfalls along the Grand River. There were plenty of water crossings and if drivers weren\u2019t careful the water would cause engines to seize and parts to vapor lock. Some had exactly that misfortune just yards from the finish.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nIn the end, Bryan Crofts came away with the 4400-class win. Crofts ran a near perfect race that put him on course for almost 2 hours, navigating through waterfalls, rock climbs and sometimes lap traffic that was stuck on the rocks. Points from the West series were totaled from April\u2019s Big Sky race in Montana, Visions which was part of the National Series and Crandon. While Paul Wolff struggled at Disney, he had secured enough points to bring home the West championship.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nAlso winning a Championship was Loren Healy, driving a fun-haver Bronco. Healy also took home a first place at Disney. In the 4500 Modified Class, Duane Garretson won the championship. Cody St Claire took home a win in the class at Disney. In the 4800 Legends class, Ryan Webb struggled all season and secured his first win at Disney. Jeremy Jones who was not present at Disney already had enough points throughout the season to earn the championship. Racers were allowed one \u201cdrop race\u201d this season. Finishing behind Fresh was Toby Stacy. Stacy had never even seen some of the Hammer trails before the race.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nFour classes race in the Every Man Challenge at King of the Hammers. Legends vehicles are only allowed a single shock per corner. Modified vehicles get two shocks per corner. The stock class is the most restrictive, only allowing for minimal modifications to the vehicle. A new EV class was added for electric vehicles. Kyle Seggelin was the sole entry in that class and he did not finish the race.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThe stock class was dominated by the Ford Bronco. Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Loren Healy who shared driving duties made it to the podium in first place. Normally both Gittin Jr and Healy compete against each other in the main King of the Hammers event in separate identical Bronco built vehicles.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nJohn Matthews brought home his first King of the Hammers victory in the 4500 class. Hundreds of fans stayed into the night to watch the purpose built 4400 rock buggies hang it all out. The event was the second round in Ultra4\u2019s East Series. The course included a 6.75-mile loop around the park which features deep wooded areas, much of its single-track keeping drivers on their \u201cA-Game\u201d.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nFirst up, were the UTV\u2019s. Todd Beckett led a field of 30 other drivers off the line. The UTV class would do five laps around the course. The name of the game was to not create a bottleneck around the tight trees. The winner was Jamie McCoy who debuted a new car in Tennessee. This mark\u2019s McCoy\u2019s second victory in the Eastern Series.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nJon Schaefer was the polesitter in the 4600-stock class. Schaefer has won the Tennessee event twice. The 4600 vehicles were mixed in with the 4800 unlimited and 4500 modified classes. With all of these vehicles on course at the same time, timing and scoring officials had their work cut out for them. In the end Jesse Oliver won 4500, Tyler Haggard won 4600 and Chris May in the 4800.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nCade Rodd stepped up to the stacked and highly competitive 4400 class. Rodd is normally known to race in the 4800 class. Rodd also was the polesitter and first off into the woods when the green flag finally dropped.
