We extend our deepest condolences to his family, team and friends during this difficult time.\r\n\r\nHogan was entered in the Pro Moto 50 class for riders over 50 years old. The rider of record for the 592x Husqvarna FX450 bike he was riding was Chris Hammond. \u00a0Video from the scene showed multiple racers stopped along the summit course carrying Hogan down the trail. All that was left for Menzies was to chase down rival Luke, which he finally did. According to a press release from SCORE International, Zunino crashed around race mile 132 near Cohabuzo in the central part of Baja during a pre-run.\r\n\r\nVolunteers at Baja Pits were alerted that Zunino had crashed by another racer. Baja Pits had a support location set-up just two miles from the crash site. Zunino suffered severe head trauma and pronounced deceased at the scene.\r\n\r\n\u201cThis was a tragic accident that took the life of Juan Zunino\u201d stated Abelardo Grijalva, SCORE President and Race Director. \u201cThe details of the incident are still being investigated but all of us at SCORE are deeply saddened by the loss of one of our racers.\u201d\r\n\r\nZunino recently took a victory in his class at the San Felipe 250 in early April. Ironically, Luke McMillin is the defending champion this year in Trophy Truck. His disqualification at the Baja 500 moved Rob closer to the top. The duo decided to campaign MacCachren\u2019s Trophy Truck race number and use him as driver of record to win points for the championship. MacCachren has four season point championships in the SCORE Trophy Truck division.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nJason McNeil may not have won the SCORE Baja 1000, but he did secure the points championship. McNeil had back to back wins in the Baja 500 and Baja 400 this year in the Trophy Spec division.
