The California 300 held in Barstow, California over the weekend attracted several dozen racers. Hardin went neck and neck with Adam Householder. Nic Whetstone was the fastest qualifier and started the race out front. Mechanical issues would force him off the track after leading first the lap.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_10764\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"640\"]\"\" Jack Olliges leads the Spec Class at the California 300 in Barstow. The Best in the Desert Golden State 250 was originally set for this weekend in California City.\r\n\r\n\u201cBITD has been faced with another very difficult decision. This decision comes with much trepidation. BITD races rain, snow or shine. It does not matter. We are racers and racers race no matter what the conditions bring. This is how we were raised, and this is what we do. However, BITD spent the morning on the phones with the California Department of Transportation and they confirmed that there is a high probability that Interstate Highways will shut down due to snow and ice. Therefore, it is senseless to have a race that racers cannot get to safely. The three brothers stayed consistent in their spec truck chasing down leader Cayden MacCachren who was driving his father\u2019s Trophy Truck. While Cayden finished first physically, the boys had put the hammer down just enough to take the win by two and a half minutes.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nThe brothers were surprised to secure the overall when they reached the finish line. They said they expected other trucks to be at the finish ahead of them. Dustin Grabowski started the race with younger brother Troy as co-driver.
