Coming off a strong run of form, Hunter Lawrence<\/span> once again proved to be the rider to beat. The Honda rider surged to the front early in the 450SX Main Event and never looked back, capturing his third win in four races and extending his grip on the championship points lead.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_15266\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"640\"]\"\" Hunter Lawrence stands atop the podium with Ken Roczen and Eli Tomac at Birmingham. Photo: Feld Motorsports[\/caption]\r\n\r\nThe race began with chaos, as Jorge Prado<\/span> grabbed the holeshot despite a scary crash earlier in qualifying that left many wondering if he would even line up. Prado briefly led the opening laps, but the intensity of the pace and lingering effects from his earlier incident allowed Lawrence to capitalize and take control of the race. Behind them, the battle for the podium was fierce. Ken Roczen<\/span> rode a calculated race to secure second, while Eli Tomac<\/span> charged through the field to round out the top three. Both veterans kept the pressure on throughout the main event, but neither could match Lawrence\u2019s pace on the technical Birmingham layout.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_15267\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"640\"]\"\" Haiden Deegan was penalized one position after cutting the course. Photo: Feld Motorsports[\/caption]\r\n\r\nThe 250SX East\/West Showdown at Round 10 of the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship delivered exactly what fans hoped for, with both coasts on the gate, the spotlight was firmly on Haiden Deegan<\/span>, who entered Birmingham with a sizable points lead in the West division. Deegan was deep in the field and Levi Kitchen was alongside Cole Davies for the lead. Deegan continued to move up in the field and eventually would take the lead in the final laps for what everyone thought would be the race win. At the conclusion of the race AMA officials reviewed video of Deegan making an illegal lane shift in the split section of the track. Deegan was penalized one position for cutting the track dropping him to second and elevating Davies to race winner.","excerpt":"
