The course is already marked for the 521-mile course. More than 230 motorcycles, trucks and UTV\u2019s will take the green flag Friday morning for the legendary race that winds its way through some of Nevada\u2019s roughest terrain.\r\n\r\nBest in the Desert CMO Bryan Folks made an announcement about the permit in a Facebook live video last Friday. \u201cI am pretty excited about that. It\u2019s been a long hard road to get back to where we are today,\u201d said Folks. He also thanked all of the people that were involved in helping to get the Vegas to Reno race off the ground.\r\n\r\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/2023-Vegas-to-Reno-Logo-927x1024.jpg\"){kind=logo}
\r\n\r\nThe race is named after the late Casey Folks. Best in the Desert has had some trouble securing permits this year and was forced to cancel its opening event in Parker, Arizona. Several other events were also rescheduled.
