Haiden Deegan has secured enough points to secure season championship one race early. The Pro Motocross series raced over the weekend at Budds Creek in Mechanicsville, Maryland.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_10334\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"640\"]\"\" Chase Sexton earns his 11th moto win of the season at Budds Creek. Photo: MX Sports[\/caption]\r\n\r\nRacing action began with the 450 class. Hunter Lawrence won the holeshot after going side-by-side out of the gate with Justin Cooper. After the first jump, the two riders made contact resulting in a crash. Aaron Plessinger stayed clear of the mess and took over the lead. Hunter rejoined the battle, chasing Plessinger down. Meantime, Chase Sexton was working his way up to the front. Hunter was able to grab the lead and finish out the first moto with a victory. In the second Moto, Hunter was back out front. Plessinger and Sexton joined in the fight for the lead. When the dust settled at the end of the moto, Sexton had taken over the lead and secured his 11th<\/sup> moto win of the season. Another tiebreaker was needed to determine the winner. As usual, the weight was on the second moto giving Sexton the advantage over Hunter. Deegan went wire to wire for the win, by then already locking up the season championship. In the second moto, Levi Kitchen stormed out of the gate for the holeshot. Jett Lawrence continued his perfect season with ten consecutive overall wins. Jett swept both motos once again.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nIn the first 450 moto, Adam Cianciarulo grabbed the holeshot. Soon Aaron Plessinger made his way out front. It wasn\u2019t long before Jett appeared, putting pressure on Plessinger. Jett continued to quickly close the gap making a pass for the lead and gaining control of the moto and soon the win. In the second moto, Jett gabbed the holeshot and never looked back. Chase Sexton came within striking distance but was never able to get around Jett. The newly crowned champ went undefeated once again.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nIn the 250-opening moto, Jo Shimoda had the holeshot. A red flag for a downed rider would change the line-up of most of the field. On the second gate drop, Tom Vialle and Haiden Deegan made contact. Deegan went down. Jalek Swoll took the lead. Justin Cooper pushed past Swoll for the lead. Hunter Lawrence was soon chasing Cooper down for the lead but was unable to get around. Cooper came away with his third moto win of the season. In the second moto, Austin Forkner was out front with the holeshot. Hunter took advantage of a mistake Forkner made on the opening lap and grabbed the lead. Cooper was running in second chasing down Hunter. Cooper was never able to get around Hunter who won the moto. Both Hunter with a 2-1 finish and Cooper with a 1-2 finish left both riders tied for the overall. This was the ninth round for the series.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThe battle continues in the 450 class. In the first lap, Ken Roczen was out front capitalizing on his momentum from last weekend at Unadilla. Dylan Ferrandis made a late-race attack on Roczen. Roczen held on for the win. Roczen grabbed the holeshot in the second moto. Ferrandis was back on Roczen\u2019s rear tire, this time successfully taking over the lead. Ferrandis grabbed the win and overall for the weekend.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nIn the 250 class, when the gate dropped in the first moto, Justin Cooper was out front with the holeshot. Jett Lawrence quickly moved through the field but wasn\u2019t able to do any better than second. Cooper won the moto. In the second moto, Jeremy Martin had the holeshot and never looked back. Cooper\u2019s fourth place finish in the second moto would earn Martin the overall for Budds Creek.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nDylan Ferrandis continues to lead Roczen in the points standings.
