The qualifying course took the competitors out of Hammertown, up through Resolution and down backdoor. Cade Rodd set the fastest qualifying time.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-8777\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/KOH-2024-Race-of-Kings-Qualifying_Paul-Wolff-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/>\r\n\r\nEvery year the top King of the Hammers racers qualify during an hour-long session known as \u201cPower Hour.\u201d\u00a0 Paul Wolff blew through backdoor during his session to qualify second overall. Wolff blew a transmission at the finish line sending the team to immediately go fix the problem and get the car ready for Saturday\u2019s race. Loren Healy navigated his Fun Haver Ford Bronco through the rock sections for a third overall qualifying spot. Healy has previously won the King of the Hammers and is a fan favorite for a win in the Race of Kings. The event was the second round in Ultra4\u2019s East Series. The course included a 6.75-mile loop around the park which features deep wooded areas, much of its single-track keeping drivers on their \u201cA-Game\u201d.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2800\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Ultra4RacingTennesee_ChrisMayFront_4800-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\r\n\r\nFirst up, were the UTV\u2019s. Todd Beckett led a field of 30 other drivers off the line. The UTV class would do five laps around the course. The name of the game was to not create a bottleneck around the tight trees. The winner was Jamie McCoy who debuted a new car in Tennessee. This mark\u2019s McCoy\u2019s second victory in the Eastern Series.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2796\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Ultra4Tennesee_TylerHaggard_4600-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/> <img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2797\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Ultra4Tennesse_JesseOliver_4500-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\r\n\r\nJon Schaefer was the polesitter in the 4600-stock class. Schaefer has won the Tennessee event twice. The 4600 vehicles were mixed in with the 4800 unlimited and 4500 modified classes. With all of these vehicles on course at the same time, timing and scoring officials had their work cut out for them. In the end Jesse Oliver won 4500, Tyler Haggard won 4600 and Chris May in the 4800.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2799\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Ultra4RacingTennesse_ChrisMay_4800-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2801\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/UltraTennesse_CadeRod_4400-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>\r\n\r\nCade Rodd stepped up to the stacked and highly competitive 4400 class. Rodd is normally known to race in the 4800 class. Rodd also was the polesitter and first off into the woods when the green flag finally dropped.
