Photo: Can-Am[\/caption]\r\n\r\nThe biggest update for 2027 is the addition of Can-Am\u2019s second-generation Rotax dual-clutch transmission across the entire Maverick R lineup. Previously introduced on select Maverick R models, the updated transmission now features an Extra Low gear designed to improve power delivery and control in low-speed, technical terrain. The transmission also receives reinforced components engineered to handle the additional torque, giving Maverick R drivers improved capability when navigating challenging obstacles or demanding off-road conditions.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThe 2027 Maverick R lineup also receives several chassis and cockpit refinements. Integrated window nets are now standard across Maverick R and Maverick X3 models, providing a race-inspired appearance while offering additional protection from the elements. Stiffer steel-braided front and rear brake lines are also standard, helping improve braking performance. Can-Am has also added double-bonded bushings to the front suspension to reduce squeaking and maintenance requirements.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nCan-Am is also expanding its trail-focused offerings with the return of the X package for the Maverick Trail and Maverick Sport. The eleventh edition of the event was held in Russia over the last two weeks. Organizers and competitors faced several challenges that included rescheduling routes due to COVID-19. Despite everything, the event continued on.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nSilk Way Rally head Vladimir Chagin said, \u201cI am glad that this edition of the Silk Way Rally attracted a lot of attention from the competitors and spectators. The racers were able to demonstrate their skills in the challenging conditions of the Siberian off-road and mountainous regions of Altai. Unfortunately, the situation with a pandemic interfered with the race, and in force majeure conditions we canceled the Mongolian part of the route. In the shortest possible time, the Rally Directorate was able to solve a difficult task and continue the competition across the territory of our country. I am sure that all competitors will take the warmest impressions of the beauty of our nature and uncompromising sports fight on the Silk Way routes with them.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nFrenchman Guerlain Chicherit came away with the overall rally win. Chicherit and his team had their work cut out for them, only taking the lead as the rally went into its last day. Matthais Walkner was successful on the KTM. Walkner had several strong finishes earning him the overall win. Skyler Howes was crowned runner up finishing second overall in the bike classification. Howes had a strong performance in the fifth and final stage of the rally.
