Initially Amber Turner-Slawson was the first vehicle back to Hammertown and for a short time it looked like she would be the first female to secure an overall win. After tracking data was reviewed by the officials, it was determined Turner-Slawson had missed several virtual checkpoints along the course and assessed penalties for each one skipped.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_11972\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"640\"]\"\" Brad Lovell makes a critical pass on Bailey Cole at Chocolate Thunder.[\/caption]\r\n\r\nTurner-Slawson finished third overall and second in her class. Cody Young finished second overall and first in his class competing against Turner-Slawson in the Legends class. Brad Lovell was driving a Bronco in the 4600-stock class. On the second lap, Lovell passed Bailey Cole in the rocks just below Chocolate Thunder and continued his charge towards the checkered flag. \u201cI can\u2019t tell you how thrilled I am to be here in the Ford Bronco at the finish line, it was dusty, it was intense,\u201d Lovell said in a finish line interview after the race. Also finishing in the legends class was Cameron Steele who took third in class and fourth overall.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_11973\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"640\"]\"\" Cody Young brought home the victory in the EMC 4800 Legends Class.[\/caption]\r\n\r\nDan Wyrick, driving a Toyota took the class victory in the 4500 Modified class. Cody is Corbin\u2019s uncle. 31-year-old Cody Bradbury got bit by the racing bug early. In 2008 he was racing 1400 Class trucks in the Southern California deserts. Just a few years later, after his dad brought a Polaris RZR to the Glamis sand dunes, Cody decided to start side-by-side racing. He took 3rd<\/sup> at his first race and eventually won the championship. He was hooked. A year later, Corbin started racing too. Corbin was named rookie of the year in the WORCS series.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nIn the WORCS series they are \u201ctrack-twins.\u201d\u00a0 Both Cody and Corbin race identical 2020 Polaris RZR Pro-XP side-by-sides in the same class. Cody is a 2018 WORCS Champion and Corbin is the 2019 defending WORCS champion. \u201cI am the old man, but we are super competitive. 1-2 (on the podium) would be an amazing weekend for us,\u201d says Cody. While Cody didn\u2019t specifically say, it\u2019s obvious he would rather have the top podium spot over Corbin. That\u2019s the way they roll.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nCody and Corbin have joined forces for the 2020 Best in The Desert Season. The two have yet to race together this year. They missed the first race of the year at Parker in January. Due to the current situation in the world, the Best in The Desert season has temporarily been postponed. They hope to get in the RZR together soon. Best in The Desert has announced plans to resume their schedule this summer.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nIn his downtime, Corbin says he has spent a lot of time driving racing simulators.
