The three brothers stayed consistent in their spec truck chasing down leader Cayden MacCachren who was driving his father\u2019s Trophy Truck. While Cayden finished first physically, the boys had put the hammer down just enough to take the win by two and a half minutes.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nThe brothers were surprised to secure the overall when they reached the finish line. They said they expected other trucks to be at the finish ahead of them. Dustin Grabowski started the race with younger brother Troy as co-driver. Mid-race, Troy took over driving duties.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nComing off a huge win at Rally Du Maroc, Mitch Guthrie continued his forward momentum with an overall win in the limited race. Guthrie posted the second fastest time during qualifying. When the green flag dropped, he and Brandon Sims had a tight race battle. \u201cIt was a long day, a tough day,\u201d Guthrie said at the finish. \u201cI\u2019m sure everyone knows how this course is\u2014it was brutal, and then to top it off, I had Branden on us the whole time, pushing us to go faster and faster. The race was moved to the Peralta Ranch after a CRIT decision forced officials off of the BlueWater property in Parker, Arizona. The course featured 28-miles of racing in which most classes did three laps.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThe results were delayed for several days due to a penalty review. Initially, Kyle Jergensen was on track to receive a penalty after a tire fell off of his truck. Further review of the incident determined a strap failed and the tire was not left intentionally. Jergensen finished fourth after changing a flat tire. Sunday he was back on the gas for the win. Jergensen was able to secure the season championship in the series.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nIn the 6100 class, drivers finished within three seconds of each other. Dustin Grabowski beat Sterling Miller and ray Griffith. Grabowski also was awarded the Championship. In the UTV classes, Vito Ranuio took home the overall Turbo win. Bryce Menzies qualified on the pole and started out front. He led several hundred miles until a broken front differential on his four-wheel drive trick truck took him out of the race. That opened the door for Ryan Arciero who started 8th<\/sup> to take the win. Arciero\u2019s truck burned to the ground at last year\u2019s race. Going into Vegas to Reno, Arciero had very minimal test time on the new truck. \u00a0Steve Olliges finished second in Trick Truck and BJ Baldwin finished third.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nJames Dean was awarded the Class 1 win. Over in the 6100 class, Dustin Grabowski had the highest overall finish for a 6100 truck, finishing second behind Ryan Arciero. Matt Rusich won Class 10.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThe UTV finishing times went through a major adjustment after the race was red flagged. A UTV driver got out of his vehicle and began walking down the course at race mile 11. That driver was tragically struck by another racer. Best in the Desert reported they did everything they could to save the person. Austin Weiland won in the UTV Turbo class while Carson Wernimont won in UTV Pro Naturally Aspirated. Bryce Menzies took home the victory for the second year in a row at the King of the Hammers Desert shootout. Menzies qualified first giving him the advantage of starting out front. Menzies held the lead the entire race.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\n\u201cIt was insane out there this year! This course was so rough, it threw everything at us and to come away with a back-to-back win is unbelievable.\u201d\u00a0 said Bryce Menzies.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nCody Parkhouse qualified first in the B1 but had to pull of course due to mechanical issues. This opened the door for Ray Griffith to take the win. Casey Currie finished behind Griffith for second on the podium. Currie will race the same vehicle later in the week in the 4400 class.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nDustin Grabowski took the victory in the T2 class.
