After a doctors review this week, it was determined Shimoda suffered from a displaced fracture in his left fibula. The injury will not require surgery, though Shimoda will be placed in an orthopedic boot for the next two to three weeks as part of his recovery.\r\n\r\n\u201cJo is a resilient competitor, and we\u2019re confident he\u2019ll make a full recovery,\u201d said Brandon Wilson, Manager of Racing &amp; Experiential at American Honda. \u201cWe fully expect him to be a contender for the 250 AMA Pro Motocross crown, and to fight hard in defense of his SuperMotocross Championship.\r\n\r\nShimoda\u2019s absence marks a significant loss for the closing rounds of Supercross, where he had been a consistent contender.
