Guthrie for the first time in his racing career will pilot the Ford Raptor T1+. Guthrie Jr\u2019s teammate will be none other than Carlos Sainz who has been racing in the class for the last few years. Both vehicles will be stock-based with only the necessary required safety upgrades and class regulations. The vehicles will race in separate stock classes. The Bronco in stock Mid-Size and the F-150 in Stock Full. The vehicles will follow the 1200-mile sportsman route starting in La Paz and finishing in Ensenada.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-8136\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Ford2023Baja1k_F150Raptor-1024x678.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"424\" \/>\r\n\r\n\u201cThe Baja 1000 is one of the most difficult off-road endurance races on the planet, making it as much a competition as it is a development and learning proving ground for us,\u201d said Mark Rushbrook, Ford\u00a0Performance, global director of Motorsports. \u201cRacing Bronco Raptor and F-150 Raptor R in the Baja 1000 will help Ford continue to learn from and improve both vehicles under the most extreme conditions.\u201d\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-8137\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Ford2023Baja1k_Bronco-1024x678.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"424\" \/>\r\n\r\nThe F-150 Raptor R has new Fox Dual Live Valve shocks that are modified with custom internal valving. The front and rear springs have been designed to specifically tackle the punishing Baja terrain. The Bronco Raptor also has modified FOX Live shocks tuned for the Baja terrain. The front and rear coil springs are bone stock. Both vehicles are modified with custom front and rear bumpers and have an added safety cage and fuel cell. LED lighting was also added fro ight running. Brad Lovell and Jason Hutter along with Bailey Campbell will pilot the Bronco. Four of those teams will compete with the Bronco and Bronco sport. The fifth team will drive an electric Mustang Mach-E Rally vehicle. The Rebelle Rally is an all-women\u2019s navigation event starting in Mammoth Mountain. The women must navigate the course using only map and compass. Electronic GPS devices are not permitted.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-7862\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Rebelle-Rally-2023-Team-1024x656.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"410\" \/>\r\n\r\nThis is the fourth year Ford has participated in the event at the factory level.
