[{"id":8929,"permalink":"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/2024\/02\/17\/ultra4-finalizes-2024-schedule\/","title":"Ultra4 Finalizes 2024 Schedule","content":"<em>This story was updated with the latest schedule change;<\/em>\r\n\r\nIn the wake of the turmoil left over by Mid America Outdoors abandoning the Ultra4 series, Hammerking Productions CEO Dave Cole has taken back control. Cole named John Goodby as the commissioner. Goodby is the current owner of the NorCal Rock Racing Series. Goodby will be responsible for managing the budget and overseeing operations. USAC will handle Technical and Competition direction.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2797\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Ultra4Tennesse_JesseOliver_4500-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/>\r\n\r\nCole said in a statement released on social media that he will arrange for the series to be fully funded for the next two years with full transparency. Both the east coast and west coast will have two events with a national final in Davis, Oklahoma. The ten-day event is set to take place starting Thursday February 2<sup>nd<\/sup> through Saturday February 11<sup>th<\/sup> in Johnson Valley, California.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-4531\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2022KOHRaceofKings_JasonScherer-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/>\r\n\r\nKOH owner Dave Cole sold off his Ultra-4 series assets in March to focus solely on King of the Hammers. In a late Friday night letter, Dave Cole stated this will be a transitional process as assets are separated. Effective immediately, the Robinetts will take owner of the Ultra4 brand and Vimeo racing channel. Dave Cole will continue owner of King the Hammers, Great American Shortcourse and Ultra4 Europe.\r\n\r\n\u201cI am excited to see what the Robinett\u2019s and their team can bring to the series. They have incredible plans for the future and have already built a world class facility in Oklahoma,\u201d said Dave Cole.\r\n\r\nDave Cole also says he is restructuring HammerKing Productions and will begin focusing on a new project Ultra4 Tours which he will release more information in the future on. Cole will also retain the entire staff that works with him throughout the year.\r\n\r\nAs for Ultra4 Regional series, JT Taylor is back onboard as the race director.
