During day one of the event, Webb came out of the land rush start up Turkey Claw unscathed. He continued to lead the race through several difficult rock sections including dropping down backdoor twice at a very brisk pace. Webb was the first back into Hammertown ahead of last year\u2019s winner Trystan Hart.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nSunday\u2019s race start saw Webb move at the same pace covering over 41 miles of difficult terrain across the Hammer trails. \u201cThe dirt was the best it\u2019s ever been and this is the best King of the Motos we\u2019ve ever had. It was a really fun race out there with those young guys, but I was still able to pull it off. Not pitting on the last lap really was definitely the thing that helped get me the win and get away from those guys,\u201d said Webb.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nAt least 150 riders participated in the King of the Motos event. Riders were not allowed to receive outside assistance during the race. They had to refuel their own bikes and change their own tires along with make their own repairs to their bikes. In 2018 he secured in the overall win in the 4500 class. In 2020 and 2021, Fresh took back to back 4500 class wins. This year, Fresh entered in the Legends class which proved to be a huge success. Finishing behind Fresh was Toby Stacy. Stacy had never even seen some of the Hammer trails before the race.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nFour classes race in the Every Man Challenge at King of the Hammers. Legends vehicles are only allowed a single shock per corner. Modified vehicles get two shocks per corner. The stock class is the most restrictive, only allowing for minimal modifications to the vehicle. A new EV class was added for electric vehicles. Kyle Seggelin was the sole entry in that class and he did not finish the race.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThe stock class was dominated by the Ford Bronco. Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Loren Healy who shared driving duties made it to the podium in first place. Normally both Gittin Jr and Healy compete against each other in the main King of the Hammers event in separate identical Bronco built vehicles.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nJohn Matthews brought home his first King of the Hammers victory in the 4500 class. The action-packed weeklong event kicked off with two days of desert racing. Saturday saw the limited classes. Sunday was all about big horsepower as T1 Unlimited Trucks took to the desert along with T2 Spec Trucks, Class 1 and 4400 Hammer vehicles.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThe Unlimited race started with a morning prologue. The prologue race determined starting positions for the main race. Bryce Menzies claimed the pole position starting him out front for the first lap. Menzies claimed back to back wins in 2020 and 2022 As the trucks came around on the second lap, Menzies was nowhere to be found. An unspecified problem would take the former winner out of the race early. Kyle Jergensen moved into position to take the lead. By the final lap, Jergensen had a significant lead on the rest of the field, flying into Hammertown to take the win.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nIn the T2 Spec Class, Christopher Polvoorde qualified on the pole. Polvoorde and his co-driver had a flawless day in the truck, zero flats and no mechanical issues. Polvoorde began racing in the spec class last summer and with less than a year of seat time under his belt, he has already snagged a class win. It is also rare to see a Spec truck finishing so close behind an Unlimited truck to get second overall in the entire field. Dustin Grabowski finished behind Polvoorde in the T2 Spec class.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nA day earlier, Chase Warren in class 10 took the overall win.
