Menzies, who is from Las Vegas qualified for the race right in his own backyard. Menzies has won the last two Vegas to Reno races and is going for his third overall win. It was a heartbreak for the Concrete Motorsports team of Harley Letner and Kevin Thompson. Letner looked fast out of the gate in qualifying. Letner took a turn too fast on the course and rolled the truck. The team will have their work cut out for them starting the race at the back of the pack. Letner and Thompson remain undefeated this season in Best in the Desert. BJ Baldwin will start second and the newly formed team of Jax Redline and Ken Block will start third.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\" \"\"\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nChristopher Polvoorde qualified on the pole position in the 6100 class. Thompson and Letner held off Kyle Jergensen, BJ Baldwin and Adam Householder with an overall time 4 hours, 42 minutes and 20 seconds.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nThe 300-mile Silver State 300 was run as a point-to-point race, starting in Alamo, Nevada. B.J. Baldwin also had a strong run before Steve Olliges moved into the lead. Olliges was running solid until he lost steering 28 miles from the finish. Thompson who was driving the Concrete Motorsports #70 truck, put his head down and raced to the finish for the overall win.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nIn the 6100 class, Dustin Grabowski would get a top finish. His dad, Mark, won the Mint 32 years ago. This truck, we built it in 2014, and I can\u2019t believe we just won the Mint 400.
