Meantime Johnny Greaves who has dozens of short course titles and championships is still at it, currently racing in the Championship Off-Road Racing series. Jimmy Lewis brings multiple motorcycle wins and is currently in charge of NORRA\u2019s motorcycle rally program.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nRod Millen has raced professionally since the 1970\u2019s winning in every major race event. Jon Nelson best known for his Nelson and Nelson Racing Products were used by legends such as Walker Evans and Larry Minor. Mike Pearlman, the son of Ed Pearlman resurrected the wildly popular NORRA Rally in Baja. Jon Rettie has had images published all-around the world, photographing the most well known motorsports events. Rettie will also be inducted posthumously after passing away in June. The annual ORMHOF ceremony was held at the Southpoint Casino in Las Vegas. This year\u2019s nine inductees bring the total to one-hundred twenty-eight. The event was well attended with over five hundred people.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nInductees included Evan Evans who was joined by his dad Walker Evans on stage. Walker is also a hall of famer showing this was a proud father-son moment. Scott Douglas also received his induction award for his contributions and championships in short-course and desert racing. Douglas joined BF Goodrich\u2019s Jeff Cummings, Scot Harden, Tom Morris, Russ Wernimont, Mary McGee, Helen \u201cSugar\u201d Fields and Lee \u201cFud\u201d Sieck. Fud passed away in 2004 and organizers decided it was time he receive an induction for his major contributions as a race promoter building the early careers of some of today\u2019s top desert racers.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nSeveral impact awards were also given out at the ceremony. Raul Gomez picked up an award in the rock sports category. Cory Winner also won an award for his accomplishments in short-course. Seth Quintero took home the award in the desert category. \u00a0The final award- the Louis Unser never give up award was given to Chris Blais. Blais suffered a life-changing accident at the Best in the In the Desert Vegas to Reno race crashing on a motorcycle. Blais would never walk again and would neeed a wheelchair for mobility. This year\u2019s inductees include Jeff Cummings, Scott Douglas, Evan Evans, Helen Fields, Scot Harden, Mary McGee, Tommy Morris, Lee Sieck and Russ Wernimont.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nJeff Cummings was involved with BF Goodrich Tires for 43 years. He is being inducted into the Industry Pioneer Category. In competition, Scott Douglas is receiving induction honors. Douglas has been behind the wheel of just about every type of truck including Trophy Trucks, Pro-4\u2019s and stock trucks. Douglas has an entire resume of championships. Also inducted into the competition category is Evan Evans. Evans, the son of Walker Evans suffered an accident in 1989 that permanently put him a wheelchair. Evan Evans continued to race winning podiums and championships. Helen Fields passed away in 2015. She is being inducted for being an advocacy pioneer, working with several four wheeling groups. Scot Harden is also being inducted as an industry pioneer. Harden has won numerous races in Baja and the states on two wheels. Mary McGee has been known to break down barriers for female racers in the off-road racing sport and a role model to many.\u00a0 Tommy Morris has had a 40 plus year career in motorsports working with some of the biggest names in the sport. Morris was best known for his time at PPI\/Toyota Racing. Lee Sieck passed away in 2003. He was the driving force behind several grass roots racing events. The new members include Dave Arnold, Nancy Davidson, Gary Denton, Tommy Hays, Loretta Lynn, Scott Plessinger, Kenny Tolbert and Ryan Villopoto.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nAll have contributed to the sport in some way. Dave Arnold worked for American Honda, helping to develop some of the greatest racing talents and motorcycles. He has helped Honda shape its Supercross and Motocross program. Gary Denton was a dominate ATV racer in the 80\u2019s and 90\u2019s winning the AMA ATV Grand National Championship eight years in a row. Loretta Lynn has had a massive impact on the motocross community, welcoming 60,000 riders since 1982 at her ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. Scott Plessinger was a top off-road racer in the 80\u2019s and 90\u2019s winning several titles throughout his career. Tuner Kenny Tolbert helped develop motorcycles that carried riders to the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame. The youngest of the group, Ryan Villopoto has accumulated five AMA Pro Motocross and four Supercross Championships on his Kawasaki. In addition to the titles, Villopoto has tallied 41 main event wins and 31 national title wins earning him the nickname \u201cVillopodium\u201d. A select committee of industry professionals then review, evaluate and eventually vote on the inductees.\r\n\r\nThis year\u2019s inductees include Steve Kelley, Spencer Low, John Marking and Tim Morton. Steve Kelley helped SCORE and Sal Fish establish rules in the early days of the series. Spencer Low is known for his development of mini-trucks. Low was also a Nissan factory driver for twenty years. Low passed away in 2019. John Marking spent 28 years at Fox Racing Shox, designing and manufacturing shock absorbers. Tim Morton has been serving off-road racers through his company, Baja Bound Adventures. Morton has dozens of wins throughout Baja on a motorcycle.\r\n\r\nThe inductees will be honored at a ceremony at on October 30th<\/sup> in Las Vegas at the South Point Hotel & Casino.
