The 600-mile race started north of Alamo. Day one ended in Tonopah where the following day, racers ran another 300 miles to the finish in near Pahrump. A qualifying session was held for the unlimited classes. The race had 132 entries spread across motorcycle, car and truck classes.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nComing off a winning streak at another desert series, Kevin Thompson and Harley Letner entered their unlimited truck in the Legacy Baja Nevada race. They didn\u2019t even need to clean the dust off of it. The team came in first both days earning them the overall win. Eric Hustead and TJ Flores took second in the class. Jake Johnson also pulled off an overall Class 1 win. Menzies, who knows the Nevada desert well, qualified second in the Trick Truck class. Cameron Steele\u2019s Desert Assassins team started out front and had clean air for the first part of the race. The pressure was on as Menzies moved to the front. Harley Letner and Luke McMillin were all scored within minutes of Menzies. Menzies won Vegas to Reno in 2019.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nIn Class 1500, Jake Johnson grabbed a win. Johnson also won at the Silver State 300 in June. The Stronghold Motorsports team of Brandon Bailey came in second even after stopping on the course to help Ryan Arciero after his truck burned to the ground. Bailey was given a time credit for his assistance.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nOther wins went to Ray Griffith in 6100, Jared Teague in Class 10 and Phil Blurton in UTV Turbo. Mileage was shortened during the race due to the threat of a wildfire in the Alamo area.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nBest in the Desert held the results for 3-days while officials reviewed tracking data. When the final results were announced, Luke McMillin, Bryce Menzies and Steve Olliges earned podium positions.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\n\u201cAll things considered, we pulled off an unbelievable event when the cards were stacked against us,\u201d said Best in the Desert Operations Manager Donald Jackson.
