The Mint 400 race returned to the Nevada desert with some of the biggest names in the sport off-road racingJustin Lofton started out front after posting the fastest qualifying time. It wasn\u2019t long before Ryan Arciero, who qualified third took over the lead. Unfortunately for Arciero, a motor issue would take him out of the race in the early afternoon. Rob MacCachren moved into the lead. Sharing driving duties with his son Cayden, the duo struggled to maintain their lead. When the dust settled, Jergensen had made his move to the front by the time he hit the checkered flag.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\" \"\"\r\n\r\n\u201c(This win) means a lot for me and my team,\u201d Jergensen said after crossing the finish line in Primm. \u201cThe Brenthel team works so hard, and it\u2019s another big team win for them. The race has to come to you, and it did. We were just kind of staying patient behind Rob (MacCachren), we saw a trail of oil, and then we saw Rob pulled over, but after that we had our bundle of issues. Once we got oil put back in it at Pit B by our crew, it ran great. Bryce Menzies qualified on the pole and started out front. He led several hundred miles until a broken front differential on his four-wheel drive trick truck took him out of the race. That opened the door for Ryan Arciero who started 8th<\/sup> to take the win. Arciero\u2019s truck burned to the ground at last year\u2019s race. Going into Vegas to Reno, Arciero had very minimal test time on the new truck. \u00a0Steve Olliges finished second in Trick Truck and BJ Baldwin finished third.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nJames Dean was awarded the Class 1 win. Over in the 6100 class, Dustin Grabowski had the highest overall finish for a 6100 truck, finishing second behind Ryan Arciero. Matt Rusich won Class 10.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThe UTV finishing times went through a major adjustment after the race was red flagged. A UTV driver got out of his vehicle and began walking down the course at race mile 11. That driver was tragically struck by another racer. Best in the Desert reported they did everything they could to save the person. Austin Weiland won in the UTV Turbo class while Carson Wernimont won in UTV Pro Naturally Aspirated.
