Cole Potts was the second Unlimited truck to finish the race. Nic Whetstone was the top qualifier. Ryan Arciero quickly passed for the lead and held on for half of the day. Every year, tons of trash is illegally dumped in the Jean area. For six years, Mint 400 organizers have been hosting a clean-up removing at least 15 tons trash annually.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-4810\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Mint400TrashCleanUp_Garbage-1024x681.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" \/>\r\n\r\nThis year with sponsor Republic Services, volunteers removed 16.41 tons of trash from the Jean area of the Nevada desert.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-4811\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Mint400TrashCleanUp_TrashHauler-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/>\r\n\r\n\u201cWe\u2019re incredibly grateful to both our partners at Republic Services and our fleet of amazing volunteers for their efforts in Saturday\u2019s Mint 400 Desert Cleanup,\u201d said Mint 400 CEO Matt Martelli. \u201cOver the years, sustainability efforts have become an essential part of our planning around the Great American Off-Road Race, and the support of Republic Services has been crucial to our efforts to leaving things better than we\u2019ve found them, from our time downtown at the Mint 400 Off-Road Festival to our time on the race course itself. Luke McMillin was the top qualifier, started out front and had the lead the entire race. In the final 5 miles late into the evening there was a thick layer of dust hanging over the dry lake bed north of Primm. Rob MacCachren was just a minute behind Luke. As Luke dodged lap traffic he slowed for a 90 degree turn on the course. Rob MacCachren clipped Luke accidentally, causing Luke\u2019s truck to roll over at least four times. MacCachren immediately stopped to help and offered to roll Luke back over. The rescue team was seconds away. Luke yelled to MacCachren to go finish and win the race. Rob refused. Luke spent the next few minutes trying to convince Rob to go finish the Mint 400. Reluctantly, Rob headed towards the finish line. He was distraught and emotional as he arrived. Minutes later Luke arrived at the finish with Rob still apologizing. The two won the Baja 1000 together a couple weeks earlier. Brent Fox won in the Spec Class while Chase Warren secured the Class 10 win.\r\n\r\n<img class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-4048\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Mint400DustinJonesLimitedWinnerWeb-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/>\r\n\r\nJust a day earlier in the limited race, Dustin Jones took home his first ever Mint 400 win, racing a Can-AM. The Pro-UTV driver finished 4 laps in eight hours, twenty-eight minutes and seventeen seconds.
