Riders went all out to win the crown title. With that came crashes that resulted in injuries.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nAustin Forkner\u2019s injury was probably the most significant of the weekend. Forkner collided with Jett Lawrence off a jump sending both riders to the ground. Forkner confirmed he suffered a broken collarbone.\r\n\r\nhttps:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/CaiwDsFrk4n\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link\r\n\r\nIn a post on Instagram\u00ad- Forkner said: \u201c<\/strong>Well, collarbone is broke.. but after watching how hard I hit I\u2019m lucky it wasn\u2019t worse. Same one from last year just broke around the plate and through a couple screws. I knew it was broken as soon as I got up. I\u2019ve just been dreading making the post about it, but I guess here it is. You know, I really was trying to make changes this year to my riding and my mentality to be ok with not being the fastest guy at every race or settling for a 3rd or a 5th at times so I would be at every race and make it to the end of the season. And if that left me with a championship then great, but if not then so be it. But that\u2019s why this sport is so damn tough because sometimes none of that matters and things just happen. Anyways, it is what it is. I do really appreciate all the support from everyone, it means a lot. I\u2019ll be back.\u201d\r\n\r\nRJ Hampshire was also injured at Arlington. Hampshire had a big crash with Phil Nicoletti during the second round of the 250SX race. This was the ninth round for the series.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThe battle continues in the 450 class. In the first lap, Ken Roczen was out front capitalizing on his momentum from last weekend at Unadilla. Dylan Ferrandis made a late-race attack on Roczen. Roczen held on for the win. Roczen grabbed the holeshot in the second moto. Ferrandis was back on Roczen\u2019s rear tire, this time successfully taking over the lead. Ferrandis grabbed the win and overall for the weekend.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nIn the 250 class, when the gate dropped in the first moto, Justin Cooper was out front with the holeshot. Jett Lawrence quickly moved through the field but wasn\u2019t able to do any better than second. Cooper won the moto. In the second moto, Jeremy Martin had the holeshot and never looked back. Cooper\u2019s fourth place finish in the second moto would earn Martin the overall for Budds Creek.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nDylan Ferrandis continues to lead Roczen in the points standings. Chase Sexton went down on the first lap. Several laps later, Aaron Plessinger went down while running in second. Roczen ended up winning the moto. Points leader Dylan Ferrandis finished second. In the second moto, Chase Sexton had collected himself and was ready to race. He grabbed the holeshot to lead the field. Roczen continued to move on a mission, getting around Sexton for the lead and the win. Roczen\u2019s two wins earned him the overall.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nIn 250 Moto 1, Justin Cooper had the holeshot. He had a lot of pressure from Jett Lawrence, but Cooper was able to maintain the lead and secure the win. \u00a0In Moto 2, Justin Cooper was back out front with another holeshot. Jeremy Martin wasted no time getting to the front and stealing the lead away from Cooper. Jett Lawrence wasn\u2019t one to be counted out, getting around both Cooper and Martin for the lead, the win and the overall.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThe season is quickly winding down with just a few race weekends to go. Dylan Ferrandis continues to have a big lead in the points. The event marked the second half of the season. Washougal was Round 7 in the series.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nChase Sexton grabbed the holeshot in the first 450 moto. Behind Sexton, Cooper Webb and Ken Roczen were locked in a battle for position. Marvin Musquin also joined them. Sexton maintained his lead and claimed the win. In Moto 2, Cooper Webb briefly had the lead before Dylan Ferrandis got around him. Eli Tomac smoothly got around several riders to the second spot. Tomac got right behind Ferrandis but by then he was out of laps to move to the lead. Ferrandis takes the win and Sexton grabbed the overall.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nIn the 250 class, several riders were collected in a crash in turn 1, Justin Cooper was out front in an early lead and eventual first moto win. RJ Hampshire and Jeremy Martin were on the podium in second and third place. Justin Cooper was back out front with the holeshot in the second moto with Jeremy Martin looking to steal his spot. Martin finally got around Cooper. Cooper later made a mistake and went off the bike losing his second-place spot and washing away his hopes for the overall win of the weekend. That title went to Jeremy Martin who continued on to win the second moto.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nDylan Ferrandis has the season points lead over Ken Roczen. El Tomac sits third. The weekend weather was perfect for a motocross race.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nWhen the gate dropped in the first 450 moto, Ken Roczen went down in a crash. Roczen was karted off the track by the medical team. Justin Barcia had the lead with Adam Cianciarulo chasing him down. Cianciarulo\u2019s front tire washed out in a corner sending the rider down off the bike. Dylan Ferrandis moved into position to battle with Barcia. Barcia would take the victory. Eli Tomac managed a third-place finish. In the second 450 moto, Justin Barcia was back out front until Ken Roczen who had plenty of time to dust himself off from the first moto crash made a pass for the lead. Dylan Ferrandis and Cooper Webb tangled up in a crash on the track. Roczen pulled off a win in the second moto but it wasn\u2019t enough as Justin Barcia grabbed the overall, salvaging his season point deficit.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nIn the first 250 moto, Justin Cooper was out front with the holeshot. Jeremy Martin caught Cooper and made a pass for the lead and the win. Jeremy Martin had the lead in the second moto. Six riders went down in a pile-up shortly after. Up front Michael Mosiman made a pass on Justin Cooper for 2nd<\/sup> place. Jeremy Martin went on to win the second moto and overall win.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nDylan Ferrandis is still way out front in the 450 points standings. Huge crowds gathered to watch racing action.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nWhen the gate dropped for the 450 class, newly crowned Supercross Champion Cooper Webb had the holeshot. Adam Cianciarulo, who was the fastest on the track during practice rounds made his way to the lead. Ten minutes into the moto, Cianciarulo crashed on a downhill, opening the door for Webb and Ferrandis to battle for the lead. Ferrandis made a pass on Webb for the lead. Chase Sexton attempted to pass Ferrandis at the last minute but was unsuccessful. Ferrandis took the Moto 1 victory.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nIn Moto 2, Aaron Plessinger took the holeshot. Ken Roczen was on a mission to get to the front. Roczen and Plessinger battled for the lead. Roczen forced Plessinger into a mistake and gained the lead and eventual victory. Ferrandis finished third earning him enough points for the overall win for the round.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThe 250-class started out with young guns out front. Max Vohland grabbed the holeshot. Halfway through the first moto, Jeremy Martin had made his way to the front. Vohland would pull off the track with an unfortunate bike issue.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nIn the second moto, Martin grabbed the holeshot, but Justin Cooper took away the lead. At some point Jett Lawrence moved passed both for the lead, the victory and overall win.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nTwelve total rounds are scheduled across the country.
