Crandon International Raceway is one of the most iconic racetracks in the country. It attracts massive crowds during the weekend and racing on this famed track does not disappoint. Land rush starts, door to door racing action, fast corners are what drivers here look forward to.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_13952\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"640\"]\"\" Keegan Kincaid secured another hometown win at Crandon. Photo: Championship Off Road[\/caption]\r\n\r\nCJ Greaves arrived at Crandon with a 78-point Pro4 lead. After an early lead, Greaves rolled over in a turn. Greaves closest competitor Jimmy Henderson capitalized on the moment, took over the lead and went on to win the race. Henderson has four wins this season. In Pro2, Crandon\u2019s hometown hero Keegan Kincaid was at it again. Kincaid is considered a master at Crandon. Kincaid knows every inch of that track and fans love to watch him wheel around the track. Kincaid nailed the race wire to wire coming away clean out of the landrush start, getting the holeshot and commanding the field all the way to end. Even Kyle Greaves who come dangerously close to Kincaid near the conclusion of the race couldn\u2019t make a pass after charging through over half the field.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_13954\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"640\"]\"\" Johnny Holtger edged closer to winning the championship after a Crandon win. Holtger is in serious contention to wrap up the class championship and his win at Crandon edged him even closer to that goal. Barry was not able to hold on after the second half of the race, slowing with a possible mechanical issue. Matt Woods held on for second place behind Holtger. Other class wins went to Chaden Minder in ProBuggy, Wyatt Miller in ProSpec and Rodney VanEperen in ProSXS.","excerpt":"

Greaves wasn\u2019t so lucky on Sunday after losing front wheel drive late in the race. Jimmy Henderson took advantage of the situation for the win. In Pro-2, Keegan Kincaid went into the race with plenty of momentum until a stall during the mandatory caution allowed Ricky Gutierrez to get the lead and hold off the rest of the field. Sunday, Kincaid held onto the lead fighting off Gutierrez for the win. I was really excited for today to be able to run from top to bottom. The track just provided a lot of lines. Coming off the high of winning two Champ Off Road season championships on Saturday, Greaves went out during the Pro 4 vs. Pro-2 Cup event, battling through the carnage to bring home his fifth Red Bull Cup win. The Pro 2 vs. Pro 4 race is an all-out knockout fight in the final race of the weekend at Crandon.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_10488\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"640\"]\"\" CJ Greaves celebrates his fifth Cup win.[\/caption]\r\n\r\nPro-2 roared off the line just ahead of Pro-4 to get the head start on the track. After a full restart, Mickey Thomas led the field. Greaves, driving a Pro-4 only needed half the race to catch Thomas. Unfortunately, a lap later, Thomas would be forced to pull off the track after a fire started in the cab. The pressure was off Greaves by that point as he cruised to another Cup win, celebrating with the signature shot gun and giant Red Bull Cup along with multiple checks. He held that position for several laps before Mickey Thomas came knocking on his back door. Gutierrez had steam coming out of his truck indicating things were getting hot. Literally! Gutierrez was able to get the truck cooled down temporarily during the mandatory caution. Thomas put the hammer down and the two drivers swapped lead positions bringing the crowd to their feet. The heat got the best of Gutierrez giving Thomas the lead and season opening win.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nIn Pro-4, the \u201cWildman\u201d Adrian Cenni put on a show for the fans. Swapping the lead back and forth with Jimmy Henderson, Cenni came out on top for a podium. Henderson and Johnny Greaves would make contact allowing Andrew Carlson to get by and claim the second podium spot.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nJohnny Holtger cruised to an easy Pro-Lite win for his first race of the season. ERX is the one of those rare tracks where racing was run on a Friday. In the highly competitive Pro-2 class, Johnny Holtger claimed his first win of the season. Holtger was unstoppable, leading the race from start to finish. Each race in the class has seen a different winner on the podium. Rounding out the other two podium spots were Ronnie Anderson and Mickey Thomas.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nKyle Greaves was back on the podium in Pro-Lite at ERX. It didn\u2019t come easy for him as he had to work to gain the lead. Greaves lost the lead a few times before finally making a pass stick on Trey Gibbs who finished second. Madix Bailey came away with a third-place position.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nGray Leadbetter shut down Chad Rayford\u2019s winning streak in the Pro Spec class. Rayford had a misfortune, rolling his truck after hitting a rut. Rayford was forced to pull off the track to assess the damage.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nIn the Pro-4 class, the battle ensued between CJ Greaves and Andrew Carlson. While ERX is Carlson\u2019s home track, Greaves was able to take the lead on the final lap for the win. After the race, both drivers were docked three positions for unsafe speed during a caution. Adrian Cenni finished in the third spot but could ultimately be awarded the win. The track is well known for its elevation changes and sweeping turns. The track, almost a mile-long has plenty of technical racing.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nKyle Kleiman has had success at ERX in the past in his Pro-Lite. Finally, stepping up in the Pro-2 class, Kleiman secured a win at ERX in Round 5. He had an early lead, but not without plenty of pressure from Jerett Brooks. Kleiman managed to hold off Brooks for a win. In Round 6, Brooks was out front and fighting to keep his position. Ryan Beat eventually moved into the lead. Cory Winner sat quietly picking off drivers. He patiently waited for his opportunity, and with three laps to go, Winner struck. First getting around Ronnie Anderson who had managed to run second place. Then Winner chased down Beat crossing with just 6\/10ths of second for a victory.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nAnother successful racer at ERX is Kyle Greaves. Greaves has five career wins at ERX. When the green flag dropped he immediately shot into the lead going wire to wire for another victory. Round 6 was a much different story with Trey Gibbs starting off in the lead. About midway into the race, Johnny Holtger made an impressive move around both Gibbs and Brock Heger as they were fighting for the lead. Holtger did everything he could to hold off pressure from Gibbs. In the end Holtger won the race.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nJohnny Greaves was back on top in Friday\u2019s Round 5 Pro-4 race. With the sun setting and shadows cast on the track, drivers had their work cut out for them. When the green flag dropped, Andrew Carlson was in the lead. After all, ERX is his hometown track. His race shop is just yards from the track on the ERX property. Unfortunately, Carson spun out handing the lead over to CJ Greaves. Just a couple laps later, the younger Greaves would pull off the track with an electrical issue. Kyle Chaney moved to the front for the third lead change of the race. It wasn\u2019t long before Johnny Greaves made a pass for the lead. Hot on Greaves heels was Kyle Leduc who also made a move around Chaney. As the clock wound down, Leduc was unable to get to the lead and soon had to pit for a tire change. Greaves cruised to a win. In Round 6, Greaves put his Friday bad luck behind him, put his head down and worked his way to the front of the pack. Ahead of him was Kyle Leduc.
