Crandon International Raceway is one of the most iconic racetracks in the country. It attracts massive crowds during the weekend and racing on this famed track does not disappoint. Land rush starts, door to door racing action, fast corners are what drivers here look forward to.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_13952\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"640\"]\"\" Keegan Kincaid secured another hometown win at Crandon. Photo: Championship Off Road[\/caption]\r\n\r\nCJ Greaves arrived at Crandon with a 78-point Pro4 lead. After an early lead, Greaves rolled over in a turn. Greaves closest competitor Jimmy Henderson capitalized on the moment, took over the lead and went on to win the race. Henderson has four wins this season. In Pro2, Crandon\u2019s hometown hero Keegan Kincaid was at it again. Kincaid is considered a master at Crandon. Kincaid knows every inch of that track and fans love to watch him wheel around the track. Kincaid nailed the race wire to wire coming away clean out of the landrush start, getting the holeshot and commanding the field all the way to end. Even Kyle Greaves who come dangerously close to Kincaid near the conclusion of the race couldn\u2019t make a pass after charging through over half the field.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_13954\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"640\"]\"\" Johnny Holtger edged closer to winning the championship after a Crandon win. Photo: Champ Off Road[\/caption]\r\n\r\nIn ProLite, Johnny Holtger and Connor Barry went side-by-side for the first half of the race. Holtger is in serious contention to wrap up the class championship and his win at Crandon edged him even closer to that goal. Barry was not able to hold on after the second half of the race, slowing with a possible mechanical issue. Matt Woods held on for second place behind Holtger. Other class wins went to Chaden Minder in ProBuggy, Wyatt Miller in ProSpec and Rodney VanEperen in ProSXS.","excerpt":"

The schedule was packed with an entire day of Pro racing. Everything from Pro-4 to Class 11 to Ultra4 vehicles would have their shot at winning a large check and commemorative World Championship ring at the famed track.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThe day\u2019s events got started with the Pro 4 class re-igniting the rivalry between CJ Greaves and RJ Anderson. The two battled door to door for several laps. RJ went on to claim the victory.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Next up was Pro-2. Cory Winner brought the momentum from a Saturday Championship Off Road series win into Sunday\u2019s race. Winner shot out to the front with an early lead and held off massive pressure behind from Jerett Brooks and the other highly competitive Pro-2 drivers. Winner would hold on for the win in a technical weekend podium sweep in the class.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nFollowing up on the second race of the weekend for the Class 11 bugs, Cisco Bio was back out front tackling the high-speed jumps of Crandon International Raceway. Bio added another World Championship ring to his growing collection. In the Ultra4 class, it looked as if Paul Wolff was going to grab another win just as he done the night before in the rocks. Unfortunately, bad luck struck. Wolff and Loren Healy made contact coming off a jump in the front stretch. Wolff did all he could to save it but was unsuccessful. Meantime out front, Vaughn Gittin Jr was on the move to claim a Crandon World Championship win.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nChad Rayford brought home his first ever World Championship win in the Pro-Spec class. In Pro-Lite, nobody had anything for the always consistent Kyle Greaves who celebrated with an oversize $5,000 check on the podium. Michael Meister came away with the Pro-Buggy win.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThe countdown to the final event of the day- the Red Bull Cup race had arrived. It was the race all of the fans and drivers were waiting for. The race pits Pro-2 against Pro-4 trucks. It\u2019s an all-out knockout door banging battle. The winner takes home a huge check, custom shot gun and of course gets to add their name to the perpetual Cup that lives in Crandon. Every driver wants these accolades and only the best survives. The first green flag flew with Pro-2 rumbling around turn one. Keegan Kincaid had the holeshot. A massive crash by Myan Spacarelli would cause a full restart. Once again, the flag was thrown for Pro-2. Kincaid navigated through the chaos to get another holeshot. Just seconds later Pro-4 trucks came roaring around turn one. As the laps ticked down Keegan stayed on the gas as RJ Anderson began to hunt him down. Located in the upper peninsula of Michigan in the small township of Bark River, fans packed grandstands to watch racing on the 1.5-mile track. Speeds here reach in excess of 90 miles an hour.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nOne of the drivers finding some last-minute speed was Ryan Beat in the Pro-2 class. The race started with fifteen trucks on the lead lap. Zach Zakowski led a couple of laps early on before spinning around in a corner. Soon, Keegan Kincaid shot to the lead with heavy pressure from the rest of field. On the very last lap, Kincaid appeared to have a rear tire go flat. In the final corner, Beat shot to the lead, beating Kincaid by half a truck length for the win.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThe Pro-4 race was just as exciting. CJ Greaves and Adrian Cenni battled early on. CJ would be forced into the hot pits for a rapid-fire tire change. CJ managed to get back on the lead lap and quickly shot through the field to get back up front. \u00a0Next, it was Cenni\u2019s turn to change a flat tire. Cole Mamer moved into the lead until his truck quit, forcing him to pull off the track. Henderson proved to be just a little faster than Greaves when the checkered flag flew, taking his first career Pro-4 win.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\n\u201cTo get our first pro-four wins, it's been so hard fought, and everybody knows the adversity we went through,\" said Henderson. \"but to do it here in Crandon, Wisconsin. At the Big House, to get this first number one means the world to me and means the world to my team.\"\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThe monkey is off of Keegan Kincaid\u2019s back. There were several scenarios that had to play out for some of the drivers to clinch the title.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nThe Pro-2 class was the major one. Jerett Brooks had a seventeen-point lead over Corey Winner coming into Crandon. Brooks needed to finish 8th<\/sup> or better to clinch the title. Winner needed 9 spots, plus a finish no more than three spots behind Keegan Kincaid. Little did anyone know; a perfect storm was brewing. Kincaid was out front leading the field for several laps. Jerett Brooks was third, battling with Corey Winner. Then the unthinkable happened creating a perfect storm of scenarios. A power steering belt snapped shutting his race down. He stalled in blind corner causing several trucks to crash into him. When the race restarted, Kincaid continued to lead the race keeping Winner just out of reach of the podium. When the dust settled, Kincaid won the Championship by one point, Winner lost by 1 point and oddly enough, Brooks also lost by 1 point.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nOver in Pro-4, Kyle Leduc would pull off the track early ending his hopes for a championship. CJ Greaves had the point lead coming into this weekend. He played it extremely safe staying out of trouble on the track while Johnny Greaves went full throttle for the lead and the race win.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nThe ProLite championship was already decided before racing even began. Brock Heger locked clinched the series in Bark River. Heger\u2019s day continued to get better as he also clinched a Pro Stock side-by-side championship besting CJ Greaves. Cole Mamer secured his second win of the season at Crandon.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\n\"\"\u00a0 \"\"\r\n\r\nMichael Meister won the Superbuggy Championship. Winner has managed to gain more season points than Keegan Kincaid who looked unstoppable at the beginning of the season. All will need successful finishes at Crandon to lock up the season championship.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nSeveral racers saw a successful weekend at Bark River Raceway in Bark River, Michigan. CJ Greaves swept the weekend in Pro-4. He sits 25 points over Kyle Leduc. Keegan Kincaid secured a Pro-2 win on Saturday but Sunday\u2019s story was all about Jerett Brooks as he earned another podium and stretched out his points lead.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nOver in Pro-Lite, Cole Mamer finally saw his first win of the season. Mamer has struggled for several rounds to earn the top spot on the podium. Sunday, Brock Heger fought his way to the front for the victory. The season opener was held at the Langlade County Fairgrounds in Antigo, Wisconsin. The grandstands were packed, and the track was full amid the excitement of a new season.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\" \"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nThe wildest race of the weekend was the Pro-2 class. A record twenty trucks took to the track. When you have that many trucks jockeying for positions there is bound to be crashes and pile-ups. That\u2019s exactly what happened. Multiple cautions both days with body panels and other parts flying everywhere kept drivers on their toes and the safety crews alert. When the dust settled Keegan Kincaid came away with a weekend sweep setting the tone for the season that he was ready to do serious battle with the field.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nIn Pro-Lite, Brock Heger was another driver that came away with a weekend sweep. Saturday\u2019s Round 1 saw Madix Bailey and Kyle Greaves on the podium with him. In Sunday\u2019s Round 2, Cole Mamer made it to the podium in second place with Kyle Greaves taking another third place. Greaves flipped his truck in one of the turns with just a couple laps to go, but miraculously landed on all four wheels and kept going without losing a position.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nThe drivers in Pro-4 had a rough go, but in the end CJ Greaves also joined the weekend sweep club. Doug Mittag and Andrew Carlson were on the podium in Round 1. When the race started in Round 2, Kyle Leduc was out front running and checking out. Halfway through the race, Leduc found himself holding off CJ. They went side by side off two jumps and into the corner as CJ did everything he could to get in front of Leduc. When they reached the rhythm section, the transmission let go in Leduc\u2019s truck, sadly ending his run. As other trucks tangled on the track in the later laps, Adrian Cenni and Doug Mittag joined CJ on the podium.\r\n\r\nCJ Greaves also swept the weekend in the Pro Stock side-by-side class. He also celebrated a milestone 101 short-course career wins. Friday\u2019s round 1 saw Leduc cruise straight to the podium, leading all laps. Saturday, CJ Greaves was out front, but a flat tire forced him into the pits at the competition caution. Greaves stayed out on the lead lap still making the podium in third place.\r\n\r\n\"\" \"\"\r\n\r\nKyle Greaves had no issues sweeping the weekend in Pro-Light. This was Greaves\u2019 first weekend in the truck prepped under the Fabtech\/Winner Racing stable. The top qualifier had a successful weekend.
