Lawrence entered the finals with just a one-point advantage over his younger brother, Jett Lawrence, setting up a winner-take-all battle for the premier-class title. When the final checkered flag flew, Hunter had held onto the championship by just two points, finishing the season with 474 points to Jett\u2019s 472.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_16192\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"640\"]<img class=\"size-large wp-image-16192\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/2026-Pro-Motocross_Ironman_Hunter-Championship-Lead-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/> Jett Lawrence congratulates his brother Hunter on winning the 2026 Pro Motocross Championship. Hunter started at the front but was involved in a crash with Haiden Deegan after Deegan went down directly in front of him. The incident sent both riders to the back of the field. Hunter refused to give up, charging from 39th place to finish eighth. Jett, meanwhile, struggled after a poor start and finished 11th. Jorge Prado took advantage of the chaos to score his first-ever Pro Motocross moto victory in the United States. Prado was untouchable in the second moto, leading from the opening laps and eventually taking the checkered flag 6.6 seconds ahead of Deegan. Jett finished third, while Hunter crossed the line fourth with more than enough to secure the championship.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_16190\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"640\"]<img class=\"size-large wp-image-16190\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/2026-Pro-Motocross_Ironman_Cole-Davies-Championship-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/> Cole Davies secured the 250 Pro Motocross Championship. Davies ultimately finished seventh overall with a 3-13 score but ended the season with 407 points, 38 ahead of runner-up Julien Beaumer. Photo: MX Sports Pro Racing[\/caption]\r\n\r\nHunter's perfect 1-1 scorecard was especially important in the championship battle. Jett Lawrence entered the weekend with the advantage, but a fifth-place finish in the opening moto put him on the defensive. Jett responded with a runner-up finish in Moto 2, but Hunter's sweep was enough to move him back into the lead. With the Budds Creek results, Hunter now holds a one-point advantage over Jett heading into next weekend's season finale at Ironman Raceway, setting up a winner-take-all championship showdown between the Honda teammates and brothers. Jorge Prado continued his strong late-season run with a second-place overall finish. The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider went 3-3 for his second consecutive overall podium and his fourth podium of the summer. The win ties Webb and Chase Sexton in the season point standings. When the gate dropped in the race, Ken Roczen jumped to an early lead. Sexton wasn\u2019t so lucky. He got stuck in the starting gate, then crashed on the opening lap. Meantime, up front Webb made several attempts to pass Roczen and was finally successful in the final minutes of the race. Sexton was able to finish third and will hold onto to the red plate despite his tie with Webb.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_12088\" align=\"alignnone\" width=\"640\"]<img class=\"size-large wp-image-12088\" src=\"https:\/\/dirtsportsworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/2025-Supercross_Detroit-250-Podium-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"427\" \/> Levi Kitchen stands on the podium in first place after a late race win in Detroit.
