Loretta Lynn\u2019s ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee has hosted the largest amateur motocross race in the United Since 1982. Every summer, amateur motocrossers hoping for their pro debut descend on the property for a week of challenging motos. Other events such as GNCC races are also hosted there. The ranch is known as the seventh biggest attraction in Tennessee. The property also has a museum, western stores, lodging and restaurants. Lynn used to regularly greet fans that visited the property. Every morning at 7am during the races, her hit song \"Coal Miners Daughter\" would play throughout the ranch's PA system.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nMotocross event director Tim Cotter said \u201cLoretta Lynn will be sadly missed. Her name and her home are woven in to the fabric of our sport. We are all very grateful for her allowing us to race at her home for the last 41 years. The new members include Dave Arnold, Nancy Davidson, Gary Denton, Tommy Hays, Loretta Lynn, Scott Plessinger, Kenny Tolbert and Ryan Villopoto.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nAll have contributed to the sport in some way. Dave Arnold worked for American Honda, helping to develop some of the greatest racing talents and motorcycles. He has helped Honda shape its Supercross and Motocross program. Gary Denton was a dominate ATV racer in the 80\u2019s and 90\u2019s winning the AMA ATV Grand National Championship eight years in a row. Loretta Lynn has had a massive impact on the motocross community, welcoming 60,000 riders since 1982 at her ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. Scott Plessinger was a top off-road racer in the 80\u2019s and 90\u2019s winning several titles throughout his career. Tuner Kenny Tolbert helped develop motorcycles that carried riders to the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame. The youngest of the group, Ryan Villopoto has accumulated five AMA Pro Motocross and four Supercross Championships on his Kawasaki. In addition to the titles, Villopoto has tallied 41 main event wins and 31 national title wins earning him the nickname \u201cVillopodium\u201d. The series announced a plan for nine rounds of racing, starting August 15 at Loretta Lynn\u2019s Ranch in Hurricane, Tennessee.\r\n\r\nThe season was supposed to start this month in Indiana, but rising COVID cases forced the cancellation of the season opener and subsequent rounds.\r\n\r\n\"\"\r\n\r\nSocial distancing guidelines will be in place at all arounds including limited credential access to the paddock. Facemasks will be required, and handwashing stations will be installed. Some events will see limited spectators depending on local health department protocols.\r\n\r\n\u201cWhile we continue to navigate through these challenging and continuously evolving times of the coronavirus pandemic, we are confident that we\u2019ve developed the framework for a high-caliber championship schedule that can be successfully implemented,\u201d said Roy Janson, MX Sports Pro Racing Competition Director. \u201cAlthough we respect the unpredictability of scheduling any live events during these uncertain times and are sensitive to the hardships many people are going through, we remain committed to making our best effort to host the world\u2019s most prestigious motocross championship.
